My partner and I came to see Joanna for a few session earlier this year. We felt comfortable to talk about our relationship and she was able to guide us through a process that helped us to reconnect emotionally. We took the tools she offered and put them into practice, which helped us to gradually move from the crisis to trust each other again. We would not hesitate to recommend Joanna to any of our friends, she really knew how to put us at ease so we could talk things through.

My partner and I worked with Joanna to sort through some sexual challenges we were facing as a new couple with previous baggage. Joanna was incredible at listening to our issues and really digging deep to get to the heart of them. In our very first session Joanna was able to determine the root cause of one of our causes of angst and from that point the rest of our stories unraveled and revealed themselves super easily.
To overcome what the initial issues were we only needed to see her for a few sessions as she was able to quickly get into it within minutes of our session commencing and make the best use of our time together. We highly recommend Joanna; she is extremely professional and easy to talk to, and helps make you feel at ease and comfortable discussing what could be awkward.

As a Kiwi in a foreign country, it’s very difficult for me to find a counsellor who understands me culturally. Joanna is able to provide that for me. In addition, she also understands what it’s like to live in a different culture. This is a reassurance for me because not many people understand the challenges. Joanna is always prompt with our Skype appointments. I doubt that there is any difference between having a Skype appointment with Joanna and sitting in her office. Having a weekly Skype appointment with Joanna is a lifeline for me at this time. It’s a huge relief that I don’t have to get into my car and drive for two hours plus to go to a counselling appointment.
I am a single parent of a non-binary youth who also lives with an ASD, debilitating social anxiety, and depression. We both have struggled and are still challenged by our unique circumstances, but since my child has been seeing Joanna on a regular basis (for a little over a year now), they have experienced significant and ‘life changing progress’ in all areas, and our quality of life as a family has dramatically improved.
Joanna has helped, and is helping, my child address many aspects of their reality including anxiety, depression, self acceptance, peer relations, medical interventions and referral processes, anger management, and much much more. As my child has many layers of complexity to their personality, they had not yet been able to successfully ‘embrace the therapeutic process’ and make a connection with a skilled therapist until Joanna miraculously came into our lives.
I am very grateful to Joanna’s kind and gentle and generous way with both of us, and I can finally see some light at the end of that proverbial tunnel for my child and therefore for our family. Thanks Joanna
